Need a hand?

islam.neveen@fakhr.coFor prayer-time questions, include your city and calculation settings. Ordinary troubleshooting does not need your private notes, journal, exact coordinates, backups, or Health information.
GETTING STARTED
Make it yours
Complete the location and calculation steps in onboarding, then choose whether to allow notifications. You can enter a city, country, and time zone manually.
Location and notification permissions are optional. Fresh schedules need an internet connection; previously saved schedules can be shown offline with their availability status.
Frequently asked questions
Select a question to see its answer.
How do I change my city or calculation settings?
Open More > Settings > Prayer times. Tap a saved location to activate it, choose “Use Current Location,” or select “Add city manually.” Review “Calculation method,” Asr, and available adjustments. Automatic calculation uses Aladhan's location-aware selection; “Manual override” lets you follow a chosen calculation convention. Compare your settings with those used by your local mosque or authority if its timetable differs.
How do I log a prayer or correct an earlier day?
Use Today for the current prayer and History to review an earlier day. A closed prayer can require an explicit choice about whether you prayed during its window, are making it up, were excused, or want to leave it unlogged. Unlogged does not automatically mean missed. Record prayer-time details when known; do not enter an invented time just to fill a field.
Where do I find Qada recovery?
Open More > Qada Recovery. It tracks confirmed missed prayers and separate recovery records. A recovery preserves the original day's history. Review the original entry if the miss was recorded incorrectly.
Why have reminders stopped or arrived silently?
Open More > Settings > Notifications. Review authorization, the enabled alerts for each prayer, and sound settings. Use “Test notification” to check delivery. Also review MiqatLine's notification settings and Focus choices in iPhone Settings. An active Excused Pause suppresses reminders. Fajr wake-up mode requests Time Sensitive delivery, subject to system permissions and scheduling. In this release, the “Adhan” sound choice uses Apple's prominent ringtone; no recorded Adhan is bundled. The vibration-only compatibility choice is delivered silently because iOS does not expose a vibration-only local-notification sound.
How do I use Qibla or find nearby mosques?
Open More > Qibla Compass. Follow its heading and calibration guidance, and review heading accuracy when the direction seems unstable. Nearby mosque results can be opened in Apple Maps. More > Mosque & Iqama lets you keep a preferred mosque and manual iqama settings.
How do I set up Fajr Smart Wake?
Open More > Fajr Smart Wake on iPhone and enable the feature. Choose the wake rule and window, then review the preview and Watch status. Open MiqatLine on your paired Apple Watch and tap “Arm Smart Wake” for its readiness check and scheduling. Any needed Watch Motion or Health permission review appears on Apple Watch. Motion is used to assess movement; optional heart-rate input adds evidence. The feature does not identify sleep stages.
If scheduling fails, keep MiqatLine open on Watch, review its displayed reason, then use “Refresh Watch status” on iPhone while the Watch is reachable. That action can retry a failed scheduling attempt. Check the Watch's battery and Background App Refresh setting if the app flags them. Confirm the displayed hard-wake time and armed status on Watch. You can use “Reset Smart Wake history” on the Watch Smart Wake screen to clear its saved summaries.
Why does Apple Watch show old times or “No schedule available”?
Open MiqatLine on iPhone, confirm the active location, and refresh Today while connected to the internet. Then open MiqatLine on Watch so it can request the latest schedule. If the Watch asks you to unlock iPhone, do that before refreshing. The Watch shows saved schedules and availability messages when current data cannot be accessed. Watch prayer actions can queue until the paired phone reconnects.
Where are widgets, Live Activities, and Siri instructions?
Open More > Widgets & System Surfaces. It explains Home and Lock Screen widgets, Live Activities, Apple Watch complications, Siri shortcuts, and supported controls. Add the desired widget or complication through Apple's normal editing controls. Some system surfaces require a compatible device or OS version.
How do optional prayers, Ramadan tools, and pauses work?
Open the corresponding tool in More: Optional Prayers, Night Times, Private Journal, Excused Pause, or Ramadan Mode. Optional prayer records do not change obligatory-prayer completion or streaks. Excused pauses keep affected prayers neutral and suppress pending reminders. Ramadan tools use the saved Fajr and Maghrib schedule for Suhoor and Iftar references.
How do I back up, restore, or delete my data?
Open More > Settings > Data and privacy. “Create backup” makes a restorable JSON backup; CSV and PDF exports provide other useful formats. “Include private notes and journal” is your choice for an export. “Choose Prayer backup” validates an import and shows a preview before you choose Merge or Replace.
“Delete all prayer history” keeps settings and cached schedules. “Full reset” removes preferences and returns to onboarding. Both require confirmation. Exported or shared files are separate copies and are not removed by deleting app data.
How does iCloud sync work?
In More > Settings > Data and privacy, enable “iCloud sync” if you want prayer records synced through your private iCloud database. An iCloud account is required. “Sync private notes” is a separate choice. Saved locations and GPS coordinates are excluded from this sync payload. Use “Sync now” and review the displayed status if a sync has not completed.
Turning sync off does not itself delete a previously stored private iCloud snapshot. If you want to remove synced prayer data through the app, keep sync enabled while using the confirmed history-deletion or full-reset action so its remote deletion step can run.
Can I use MiqatLine in Arabic?
The app includes English and Arabic localization. The interface follows the device's language. Appearance settings include an Arabic prayer-name preference and clock-format choices.
